People Project is recruiting on behalf of a leading organization in the manufacturing and consumer products sector that is expanding its portfolio of value-added business solutions. We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Head of Business – Value-Added Services to lead the division's growth and profitability.

Role Purpose:

The successful candidate will assume full Profit & Loss (P&L) accountability for a portfolio of value-added solutions, including commercial coffee vending systems and water purification solutions. This role is responsible for developing and executing the division's commercial strategy, strengthening operational excellence, optimizing supply chain and procurement functions, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Combining strategic leadership with strong commercial acumen and technical capability, the Head of Business – Value-Added Services will oversee business development, demand forecasting, procurement, operations, technical service delivery, and governance. The role is expected to drive significant year-on-year business growth while enhancing profitability, operational efficiency, service quality, and long-term customer partnerships.

General Responsibilities:

Commercial Leadership & Business Development

  • Lead and oversee the day to day financial and accounting operations of the company.
  • Develop and execute the commercial strategy to drive sustainable revenue growth and profitability.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across corporate and retail markets.
  • Personally manage strategic customer relationships and negotiate high-value commercial agreements.
  • Lead and mentor the sales team, setting performance targets and monitoring sales pipeline activity.
  • Develop initiatives that increase market penetration and customer retention.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to design campaigns, product promotions, and customer engagement initiatives.

Operations & Service Excellence

  • Work closely with Operations to ensure timely installations, preventive maintenance, and emergency service response.
  • Ensure operational activities meet established quality, safety, and customer service standards.
  • Coordinate resources to maximize equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across service delivery.

Technical Leadership

  • Develop operational and project budgets in collaboration with department heads.
  • Develop in-depth technical knowledge of coffee vending equipment and beverage calibration standards.
  • Build expertise in water treatment technologies, including filtration systems, reverse osmosis, ultraviolet disinfection, and water quality assessment.
  • Provide technical guidance to field technicians and ensure installations meet engineering and quality specifications.
  • Support technical training and continuous capability development across the team.
Governance, Asset Management & Compliance
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate asset registers and equipment tracking systems.
  • Ensure documentation relating to inventory, spare parts, technician activities, and maintenance records is complete and regularly audited.
  • Establish robust governance processes that support operational transparency and cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and operational standards.
Customer Relationship Management & Market Intelligence
  • Establish and strengthen internal financial control systems to safeguard company assets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate customers.
  • Conduct regular market research and customer satisfaction surveys to identify trends and business opportunities.
  • Monitor competitor activity and recommend strategic actions to strengthen market position.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for key customer service issues.
